I am a qualified and accredited counsellor who has experience working with children, adults, couples and families. I have many years’ experience in the field of counselling, working collaboratively with people, navigating current difficulties and long-term issues across their life-span.

I have a particular interest in infertility counselling, pre- and post-natal counselling, parenting challenges, relationship issues and personal concerns such as self-esteem, confidence, motivation, goal-setting, anxiety and mild depression.

I find my work particularly rewarding working with individuals who may feel stuck and dis-empowered and assisting them to find tools and strategies to help them find solutions to their issues and better harmony in their life.

As a counsellor, I assist and support you to recognise your personal values and belief systems and to embrace your individual uniqueness in reaching your desired results.

You are not instructed on how to think, feel and react; how to live your life and what you should do to resolve your conflict.

I provide the opportunity for you to tap into your own ability to make positive changes in your life, develop new perspectives, explore your thought processes, raise self-awareness and achieve greater harmony and well-being within your life. You are encouraged to consider your own behaviour and how this behaviour may have contributed to your situation. Exploring alternative responses to particular experiences may result in different behaviours, thus providing an altered effect and eventual outcome.

Raising self-awareness can assist you to reach your desired goals and work toward better management of your problems. Throughout the process, I work alongside you at your pace and level of comfort to reach the goals that you have chosen.

Counselling is a proven method for helping people deal with everyday problems. Unlike the common misconception, counselling is not for ‘weak people’ or for people needing to be ‘psycho-analysed’. Counselling uses interaction with a trained professional to help people in many areas.

I offer a holistic and practical approach, viewing the individual as a whole from a mind-body-spirit perspective. I combine the therapeutic aspects of counselling, incorporating Personal Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, combined with a variety of holistic strategies of an individual basis to deliver best outcome for the client.

On-going professional development allows me to remain current within the counselling field regarding mental health, the metaphysics of the body and new modalities and treatment outcomes.
